Tri Lakes

Tri Lakes gets its name from it’s three lakes in the area: Palmer Lake which is located in the Town of Palmer Lake; Monument Lake which is located in the Town of Monument, and Lake Woodmoor which is located in the Woodmoor subdivision, just outside the city limits of Monument. Residents enjoy kayaking, canoeing and fishing on both Palmer Lake and Monument Lake.

Monument and Palmer Lake are the most popular destinations. People love this area because of the views of the front range and easy access to both Colorado Springs and Denver. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area and lots of trails for hiking/biking. The popular Santa Fe trail runs from Colorado Springs to north of Larkspur.

The Town of Monument is a statutory town situated at the base of the Rampart Range in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. Monument and Palmer Lake are bordered by Pike National Forest to the west, Colorado Springs and the United States Air Force Academy to the south, foothills and rock outcroppings in the town of Larkspur (Douglas County) to the north, and rolling plains in Black Forest to the east.
